Experienced by Judy:
Mama and I were sitting in the living room watching television and suddenly we heard the back bedroom door slamming over and over.  Mama looked at me and made the remark "Who in the heck is back there slamming that door"?  I knew no one else was in the house, other than her and I, so I didn't know what to say.....what to think.....because I heard it as plain as day.  I got up, went to the hall and looked....but didn't see anything.  We both heard it, but couldn't figure out what was happening or what caused it....and we were scared.

We were sitting in the living room as usual watching television.  My niece Avalon was over that night and as we sat there watching television, suddenly we heard this loud bang against the front door, like someone had slammed something into it.  Avalon took one huge leap over to where I was sitting and her little heart was just a pounding a mile a minute.  We waited to see if anything else happened, but nothing did.  Some time later I got up enough nerve to go investigate, thinking I'd find something laying on the floor outside the door, but there was nothing there.

Of all the things that have been happening lately, I think this has to be the most frightening.  It was late in the afternoon, about three in the afternoon and we were sitting in the living room, just watching t.v.  Suddenly out of no where we heard this loud screaming, moaning type of noise.  It was a very deep sounding tone....but we both agree that what it kind of sounded like was a horse screaming kind of sound.....the way they do when their frightened and on their back feet up in the air.  Anyway, I could tell Mama was scared half to death and I sat there scared myself, not knowing what to think about what was going on.  It did this sound, loud, and I mean very loud, over and over for quite a while.  All we could do was sit there frozen.  After it stopped Mama asked me what I thought of what just happened and also remarked how it sounded like a horse in the kitchen.  I responded that I didn't know what it was, but yes, it was loud and scary.  After I built up my courage to go into the kitchen, I grabbed the phone and called Kimberly right away.  She said she would come over.  Just before she arrived, when I was in the kitchen getting the phone, I noticed a loaf of cuban bread on the counter and one one the stove.....but when I returned into the kitchen what I found, was definately unexpected.  I walked over to the stove and now both loaves of cuban bread were on the stove now, and laying one over the other, to form a cross.  I left it there to show everyone what I'd found.

My mother and I were home alone.  We were sitting in the living room watching television and out of no where I heard the sound of someone walking around the kitchen, dragging their feet.  From where I was sitting I could see the whole kitchen area, but nothing was in there that would make that sound.  I thought it was my mother's bull dog, but when I looked around, she was asleep in the living room with us.  I have to admit that I was really surprised at what I was hearing, but even more surprised at what I wasn't seeing....anything or anywone in there making this sound.  A few minutes went by and all of a sudden one of the bedroom doors slammed very hard.  It startled me, then it happened again, and then again.  This time, my mother responded, so I knew she heard it too and she asked me who would be back there slamming the doors like that.  I was leery about getting up to check, not knowing if it could be someone who would of broken into the house and trying to draw us to that back area.  But I did, I finally got up and went to the kitchen and peeked around the corner into the hall....all I saw was my sister Juanita's bedroom door slightly open.  I went back to the living roo and it dawned on me, that earlier in the day, I had walked past that area and took notice that Juanita's door was closed.  Soon afterwards my twin sisters Rita and Regina showed up and it was a relief that someone else was there with us, even though the walking in the kitchen and the doors stopped slamming.

I was in the living room watching television.  Judy was in the kitchen preparing dinner.  All of a sudden, I saw as clear as day, the lady in white once again show up.  At first, I thought it was someone just walking through my yard, past the picture window and towards the porch, until I got a better look.  She appears as a woman, dressed all in white, from head to toe.  I have to say that her attire is almost that of a nurse, because she seems to also wear a small white hat on her head.  I called to Judy to come see if maybe I was mistaken and "maybe" someone were really walking up to the porch, but when she checked no one was there.

Everyday after school, Toni's kids walk home from school to Mama's house.  After Toni and John get off work, they pick them up, which is usually between 5:30 and 6:00.  Later that night, Mama was sitting on the couch, I was sitting at the table in the dining room, working a puzzle.  Mama called me and asked if I knew where the little girl went.  Thinking she was talking about Avalon, I asked her "You mean Avalon"?  She said  "No....the little girl that's been sitting over there" (Pointing towards the part of the sofa in front of the picture window).  I told her that there wasn't a little girl....only Avalon, but she left hours ago.  Mama insisted there had been a little girl sitting on the couch....and she figured the little girl was a friend of Avalon's.  I again told her that there hadn't been any little girl at the house, other than Avalon.  She again and very upset about it....told me that she was not losing her mind....she saw a little girl as plain as day, sitting on the sofa, very quiet....and she just figured the girl was a friend of Avalon's and when she saw the little girl get up and walk away, she couldn't figure out where the little girl had gone.  It's apparent that Mama must of seen something.  The weird thing is....only the day before, Kimberly was over visiting and said she had heard a child calling over and over "Mama".  She thought it was one of her kids...but when she asked, no one said they had been calling her...and the day before that....she heard a child talking in her house and giggling.  I wonder if the little girl followed her to Mama's house???? (See experience by Kimberly on this page)

When we were kids we shared the same bedroom.  One night I woke up to the sounds of loud sirens blaring.  I sat up to look, that's when I saw a man standing at the foot of my bed.   He reached over and touched my foot.  His hands were ice cold.  He then walked over to my sister Becky and touched her leg.  She also described his hands as being ice cold.  Around the time we started screaming, he just vanished into thin air.

I was sitting out on the front porch.  I was staring straight ahead, watching the intersection up the street.  Suddenly out of the corner of my eye, I saw what I thought was my mother walk out the front door and onto the porch.  I turned to look, but no one was there.  I am positive, I saw someone walk out on the porch.

Becky and I were in the kitchen playing Yahtzee.  It was around six in the evening.  I began smelling perfume really strong....it was like someone had taken a bottle of it and just poured it out, that's how strong it was.  I looked at Becky and said "Do you smell that perfume?"  She looked back at me and replied "I'd been smelling it, you just started smelling it?" Well, I knew right then what perfume it was, it was the same exact perfume Becky said she'd smelled a few nights before.....Ben Hur....and the only person we know who wore that perfume, was my mother's best friend Mrs. Kirk, who lived across the street, and died about 15 years ago.  I then got up very calmly and walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.  All of a sudden, I smelled the perfume again and yelled out to Becky in the kitchen "Oh my God, she's in here with me....I smell her perfume on my shirt!"....so I yelled out loud "Mrs. Kirk, you have to leave us alone and go home.....Go home Mrs. Kirk....Go home!" I looked up at Becky sitting in the kitchen and she gave me a very dirty look, as if angry I was yelling at Mrs. Kirk, afraid I would upset her.....so she thought she'd be smart and yelled out "It's o.k, Mrs. Kirk, we know it's cold outside, so if you want to stay a while you can".  All of a sudden Becky jumped up out of her chair and began screaming at the top of her lungs while she was dancing around, trying to wipe something off the front of her shirt....and she was yelling "Oh my God, she's on me, Oh my God, she's on me.....Get her off of me!"  I didn't know what to say, what to do.  When Becky finally stopped screaming and jumping around, I asked her what the heck was going on....and she said that after she yelled out to Mrs. Kirk, she began smelling the perfume on her shirt....she thought Mrs. Kirk was on her.  We can laugh about it now, but at the time, it sure wasn't funny.

The Tuesday following Kimberly taking the pictures in Mama's house...I was over visiting.  I was sitting in the dining room, working a puzzle at the table.  Something caught my eye.  I looked up and there were these blue looking circles,  but transparent right near the ceiling.  At first I thought it must be some sort of reflection from something, but then they moved.  It's hard to explain what I saw.  They were in one spot for about a minute and as I was looking at them, all intertwined and overlapping, they moved. Each circle moving by itself and then the others seemed to catch up to the others. I watched as these circles moved from one side of the dining room to the other. I even thought that maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me...but if that were happening, when I moved my eyes, the circles would of moved too....but sometimes they would stay in one spot and other times they would move to another area of the dining room.  Not sure what I was seeing, I began calling Avalon. By the time she came, the circles were gone.

I was in the living room, dusting the shelf that's right above the sofa, where Mama was sitting. I accidentally bumped an apple figurine and it went tumbling down, narrowly missing my her head. Just then, I heard a man laugh.  Before I could say anything, Mama asked if I thought it was funny that the apple just missed her head. I told her it wasn't me who laughed....and before I knew it, Avalon, who was in the kitchen, came flying into the living room, saying she just heard a man laugh.  We were pretty upset about what we'd heard, so we all sat in the living room, all huddled together. Mama then asked what the light glowing in the dining room was. Avalon and I got up to see what she was talking about, only we couldn't see the light. Mama directed us over to the organ and kept telling me "A little over, a little bit more, a little bit more..." up until I reached a picture frame on top of the organ. Right when I got to the picture, she told me to forget it, the light disappeared. I looked to see what picture it was and it was a picture of one of my brother's Dallas, who passed away a few years ago.  A little while later I was on the porch, talking to Toni on the phone, telling her what had happened....when she asked what the dog was barking about, she could hear it over the phone. I got up to check told Toni "You're not going to believe this....she's sitting on the floor in front of the recliner, barking like someone's sitting in it...only there's no one sitting there!"

Experienced by Kimberly:
My first experience in my mother's house was quite unusual. I don't really remember how old I was, but I was very young. My mother and I used take a nap daily somewhere around noon. We were in bed and she'd already fallen asleep. I always would just lay there for awhile before falling asleep. It was very quiet and all of a sudden I heard an odd sound, like an animal walking with long toe nails, scrapping the floor as it walked. I sat up and saw three horns, they were about a foot long. All I could see were these three horns pacing back and forth from one end of the bed to the other. It was either crouched down or wasn't tall enough to be seen above the edge of the bed. I was very frightened, so I started crying and poking my mother to wake her up. When she turned to me and I told her what I'd seen, she looked over the bed, but what ever it was had already gone away.

My next incident came when I was around 12. My sister Toni had gone off with her friends, so my cousin Michelle and I decided to go into her room and rummage through her things. We were at the closet, going through her albums. Michelle grabbed my arm and when I turned to look at her, she was pointing towards the dresser. I looked at the dresser and saw a small paperweight just levitating a few inches above the dresser. We just stood there in amazement. After a few seconds, it raised up about a half a foot and shot across the room. We ran out of that room as fast as our legs could carry us. Later that day, I went back to see where the globe was and found it lodged between the head board and mattress.

After my sister Toni moved out of the house and on her own, I ended up having the room to myself. It was ok for awhile, but then I found myself scared and staying up all night. I would be up reading and nearly every night I would hear footsteps walking back and forth in the hallway outside my bedroom door. It sounded like someone dragging their feet with a pair of slippers on. It would just walk from my bedroom door (which was at the end of the hall) and then back to the kitchen again. It would do this all night long. Sometimes I would be brave enough to take a peek out my door when it was walking away from my door towards the kitchen, but I would never see or hear anything then. As soon as my door closed, within minutes, it would start back up.

One night while up reading a magazine...I heard someone going through my mother's closet. Her room was right across from mine and our closets were separated by just a thin dividing wall. I just sat there listening to what sounded like someone moving the clothes around on the bar. At first I thought it was my mother. So, I got up to see why she was up...but when I opened her bedroom door, she was in bed asleep. The next day she asked me what I'd been doing in her closet so late at night (she'd also heard what I'd heard). I replied "It wasn't me, in fact I got up and looked, because I thought it was you".

I started dating Johnny (now my husband). I told him that I thought my mother's house was haunted. He thought it was funny...thought I had a wild imagination. So I dared him to spend the night just one night in the living room. Because he was a skeptic to ghost and the supernatural, he took me up on the bet. He said he was in the living room on the recliner. He said the first few hours he didn't hear or see anything. Just as he was about to fall asleep, he started hearing footsteps. He just sat there a few minutes listening, thinking it was me, trying to scare him. At one point he said it sounded like the footsteps walked right up to him. He just sat there waiting for me to jump out and scare him....but after awhile when nothing happened, he leaned around the chair to see if I was behind it. When he didn't see me, he decided to get up and check to see where I was at. He ended up finding me in my bedroom asleep. He went back to the living room and said it he never did fall asleep...and it was the longest night he'd ever spent away from home.

One night after getting home late from a date with Johnny, I went right to my bedroom, got into my night gown and got into bed. My cousin Angie was down visiting from Arkansas at the time and we had to share my bed. Not long after I'd crawled into bed, I closed my eyes to go to sleep when I felt like Angie being shoved against me. Then I heard someone whispering her name saying "Angie, Angie...." I just laid there not knowing what to think. Then it got worse, it felt like someone shaking her real hard to wake her up and saying "Angie get up, get up" she only moaned in a drowsy voice "What...". At this point I thought someone was in the house, so I started screaming for my mother. Right at that moment, I heard someone walking real fast to my closet and just stop there. When my mother came to the door I yelled "There's a man in my room and he's hiding in the closet!" My mother turned on the light and her and my sister Becky walked over to the closet and pulled the curtain back...nothing was there except my clothes.

One night I was in my room reading the bible. I was just starting to try to memorize the "Lord's Prayer". I started reading it out loud and all of a sudden I heard hissing...like an angry or scared cat would make, but not quite the same. The more I read, the more intense the hissing got. The louder I read, the louder the hissing got. After a while of this going back and forth....I have to tell you my heart felt like it was beating right out of my body, I was so scared....after a while...it just stopped abruptly. It never happened again after that.

When I was around 16 or 17 years old.....something happened to me that to this day I don't know how or why this happened. It was late one evening, and I don't recall who all was in the room at the time, but there were several of us watching television. Out of nowhere, I got this burning sensation on my back. I asked one of the people with me, to see what was wrong with my back. So they proceeded to lift up the back of my shirt to check. They told me they didn't know what it was, but it looked like someone had taken their fingernails and run them straight down my back. I went to the bathroom mirror to check and see what they were talking about. I saw several raised (welp like) lines running from in between my shoulder blades all the way down, just above my waist line.

One afternoon while home alone...I was at the stove heating up some soup for lunch, when I suddenly got this strange feeling like someone was there with me. I turned around, but didn't see anything, I brushed it off as the "being alone creeps"....well suddenly this black haze came around me from both sides as though to put it's arms around me or grab a hold of me...I jumped right out of my shoes and screamed out loud. At that moment the haze went away. I turned off the stove and ran to the front door and yelled out "Don't you ever touch me again...in the name of God...don't ever touch me again!" I left for hours until I called to verify someone was home. It never did try to touch me or communicate with me after that...in fact....all was quite for some years until I got married and moved out of the house...I think that something in that house might of followed me to my new house.

The day after Christmas, I decided to go by my mother's house to eat left-overs. All that was there, were my mother, myself, my husband Johnny, my two kids and my sister Judy. My mother had been sitting at the table finishing up her meal and I was at the sink, finishing up the dishes. Judy had just gotten up from her seat at the table and went to grab something cold to drink from the frig. All of a sudden, my mother's dog Lucy began go growl and carry on. We all just stood there for a few moments, watching. Lucy kept looking upwards as if she saw something. As she kept looking up and growling, the growling turned into barking. After a few minutes of her doing this.....I decided to call out in a firm voice "Be gone from this house!" At that very moment, Lucy acted as if what ever she was growling and barking at, suddenly moved away from her, because she jumped over as if to bite or lunge out at something in movement. She continued to follow what ever it was with her head, watching it leave the room. As quickly as the incident began, it stopped. Lucy calmly walked over to my mother and laid down at her feet under the table.

It was early in the morning and when I arrived my mother's house she was still sleeping. My youngest son went immediately to the couch and fell asleep. It was a little warm in the house, so I decided to go turn the air conditioning up.  It was dark in the hall because the doors were closed and the light was not working....so I took a flash light with me and adjusted the thermostat. I then called my oldest son Corey into the kitchen to begin our home schooling session.  I gave him instructions on the math I wanted him to complete while I went on the porch for a minute.  About five or ten minutes passed and Corey came out on the porch where I was at.  I made a remark to Corey that I was sure there was no way he could of completed the math assignment I gave him, and he replied he hadn't. So I inquired why he would be outside if he wasn't finished....and he asked me to come back in the house with him because he was scared. I asked him what was wrong and he replied that the doors in the hall were slamming. I asked him to stay on the porch, while I went back inside to see what was going on.  As soon as I walked up the hall entry, I noticed one of the bedroom doors open, yet earlier it was completely closed. I found this odd, but it was a definite confirmation that Corey did hear something going on with the doors.  Two weeks later, oddly my mother and Judy had a similar experience, just at a different time of day.

Same thing, just another day.  I was in the kitchen, my husband John was in the dining room eating.  Out of no where, I heard the back bedroom door slam very hard.  Being the kitchen is right where the hall is to this area, I leaned over, looking towards the hall and remarked how I couldn't believe I heard the door slam.  My husband must of also heard it too, because he remarked that it was probably from someone leaving a window open in that room....but he knew that couldnt' be the answer, because my mother keeps her air conditioning on and the windows are were not open.  Anyway, a few seconds went by, not even enough to finish discussing how strange this was, when John had entered the kitchen area where I was at and it happened again.  I looked at him and made the mark "open window, huh? Then I dare you to go in that room and look".  He just leaned around the hall wall, looking towards that area and passed on the dare.  No sooner did he turn away, it happened a third time, but this time I was overwhelmed with a feeling of dread and fright....as if I could actually feel something around, in the hall.....and it wasn't good.  At this point, I dropped to my knees and began praying in the name of God that what ever it was, leave.  It didn't do anything afterwards until my sister Toni and her husband John came by.  I told Toni what had happened earlier with the door slamming, out on the front porch, but when we came in, her and her husband were in the kitchen area discussing this, Toni decided to try and talk to this thing.  She walked close to the hall area, but not too close and asked who it was.  I quickly stopped her and insisted that she not begin trying to communicate with this thing....because it might make things worse.  All of a sudden I felt as if what ever was there, was back and hovering around the hall area, outside the bedroom door....watching Toni.  She then proceeded to ask it if it knew who she was....I told her, to stop...knowing very well that this thing was standing in the hall looking right at her.  Her husband mentioned something about slamming the door again if it knew who she was, but it never did anything.  Toni said as she stood there, waiting for a reply from what ever this was, she was covered in goosebumps.  I know it might not have wanted to answer her questions, maybe even not know how to go about this communication process, but I'm sure this is not the last we've heard from this thing....I get the eerie feeling it will be back and next time prepared for the interogation.

My mother, myself and my two children were in the living room watching television.  I noticed my mother's dog Lucy, seemed to act as if she saw something and she headed outside onto the porch.  Immediately after she went out the door, the front door, just slowly closed behind her.  It was as if some invisible force were there and closed the door as she exited the room. I didn't even have enough time to comprehend what I'd just seen when all of a sudden I heard what sounded like the door knob being twisted, trying to open....I looked over at Corey, because he seemed to have jumped out of the rocking chair and headed my way, because he too had heard this sound.  But when we both looked at the door, the knob wasn't actually turning, only making the sound that it would make if it were, then all a sudden the door flew open so hard that it sent the paint can that my mother had on the floor, she used as a door stop, flying across the room.  My son Justin jumped up and ran to the door to see what happened, but I yelled out for him to get back, because at this point, I really didn't know if there was someone outside the door or not, evening knowing that it would not explain how the door closed behind Ludy to begin with.  I got up and slowly walked outside and checked to see if anyone were there....but no one.

I was at the stove cooking and Corey was at the kitchen table.  He called for my attention to come feel the table.  But when I got there, I didn't notice anything odd.  He said he had just felt the table shaking.  A while later, maybe about an hour later, the kids were outside on the porch and I sat at the table.  I was leaned up against the table and then I felt it....the table began to vibrate just lightly.  I got up and went and sat on the couch and then it began there too.....the couch was actually vibrating.  I called Corey in and he touched the arm of the couch, but by then it had stopped.  It never did do it again after that.

We have also just been sitting around the house or while cleaning, for no apparent reason, the lights will begin flickering off and on. This has happened several times.
